Equine or horse fences, as many others, can be constructed out of many different materials. We have used Hi Tensile Woven wire (seen in Ag Page), Polyvinyl, barbed wire, and treated lumber to name a few. Below are 2 pictures with a product called Stud Rail. This is a flexible PVC material with 2 strands of wire along the top and bottom.
Hi Tensile wire can be electrified for those animals who like to reach over or through to greener pastures. We are an authorized dealer for Gallagher energizers and products.
We also fence arenas and have made round pens. Some horse owners prefer round pens made of individual gate panels pinned together. The advantage of this idea is that it is movable around the farm, can be transported to trail rides…etc, and can be changed to any size to fit your training or riding needs.
